September 2021 Issue: Cassie Covers Voir Magazine

UNITED KINGDOM — The September 2021 issues are now arriving on the Internet and newsstands around the globe. Magazines are bringing their A-game with eye-catching covers and statement-making editorials. Some issues even weigh more than a pound and has over hundreds of pages.

The September issue is the most important and biggest issue of the year for fashion publications. Candy Pratts Price once said, “September is the January in fashion.” September’s fall fashion issues hold a lot of weight and most luxury houses spend the most amount of advertising dollars in this particular issue. The September issue always sets the tone for the next year in fashion and culture.

If you’re a magazine lover, chances are you know how important the September issue is. A lot of time and hard work goes into it. There was a point in time, when you barely saw a woman of color on the September issue.

It used to be hard for Black and Brown women to get onto covers of magazines because “they did not sell“. Clearly, that has been proven a myth. Now more and more women of color are on the cover of mainstream magazines, including September issues. And this is beyond epic.

Let us not forget 2015, when we saw the first surge of women of color on September issues.

Singer, songwriter, model, actress and dancer Casandra Elizabeth Ventura Fine, known professionally as Cassie covers Voir Fashion Issue 27 Autumn 2021.

This particular issue, dubbed Level Up is all about venturing into the publication’s next new stage. Cassie Ventura has developed and adapted into a new era of her life.

Cassie talks all things old, new and upcoming, reflecting on her time in the industry as a young independent woman and how she grew stronger, wiser, and better, saying “…it made me the woman I am today.”
