NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Projected No. 1 overall pick and Oklahoma State guard Cade Cunningham will reportedly sign a multiyear endorsement contract with Nike, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The deal is expected to be the highest-earning shoe deal among all players in the draft class this year.

The 6-foot-8 standout averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals in 27 games with Oklahoma State. He became the first player in program history to be named to the Associated Press All-American first team.

Cunningham joins projected top 5 prospect Jonathan Kuminga to sign with Nike ahead of the NBA draft (see it here). The two high-profile prospects will join a star-studded roster of Nike athletes, including LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving among others.

Kuminga and Cunningham are expected to help Nike usher in their new “Greater Than” series, wearing player-exclusive models like the GT Cut, GT Run and GT Jump on the court.

In addition to Kuminga and Cunningham, Jalen Green (see it here) and Sharife Cooper (see it here) have also signed endorsement contracts with adidas prior to the NBA draft. They are the first known prospects this year to sign with apparel companies.

The 2021 NBA Draft takes place tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 8 ET. You can watch the draft on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+.
