UNITED STATESAmerican actress, model and activist Yara Shahidi is adding beauty to her forever growing resume.

Last summer, Dior added the Black-ish actress and Harvard student to its global ambassadors list.

Under the leadership of creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior has consistently delivered a message of women’s empowerment, so it makes sense that the brand would tap Shahidi, who has spoken out about everything from feminism to STEM awareness.

Just a few days into 2022, Dior Beauty swoops in adding glam and sisterhood. The French fashion powerhouse revealed Global Ambassador Yara Shahidi’s first beauty campaign with the brand: Dior Forever sisterhood.

Dior Beauty took to Instagram to deliver the news, writing, “A NEW GENERATION FOREVER IS COMING… Dior Global Brand Ambassador @YaraShahidi, award-winning actress, producer, and inspiring change agent, is now part of the Forever sisterhood movement as the new face alongside @NataliePortman.” Yara also posted on her Insta with the caption “@DiorBeauty Worldwide.”

Yara’s longtime makeup artist, Emily Cheng also posted a photo of Yara with a heartfelt caption, “All the emotions finally seeing this! Yara ?What a way to kick off the year. Never in a million years would I have imagined working on a campaign like this. Thank you for all the incredible experiences and adventures. One for the books! Love you!” Yara’s response exhibits the true hallmark of sisterhood — “Emily! You always make me feel flawless and like myself! Thank you

Yara delivers a raw reaction to even her own new beauty campaign with Dior — “that surreal moment when you’re scrolling on instagram and see that your makeup campaign just dropped” with the mind-blown emoji.
