MAYFAIR, LONDON —¬† The September 2018 magazine cover rollout has begun. Rihanna covers Edward Enninful‘s British Vogue.¬†Rihanna has become the first Black woman to front the fall fashion issue in the magazine’s history.

The¬†September¬†issue is the most important and biggest issue of the year for fashion publications.¬†Candy Pratts Prince¬†once said, ‚ÄúSeptember is the January in fashion.‚Ä̬†September‚Äôs fall fashion issues hold a lot of weight and most luxury houses spend the most amount of advertising dollars in this particular issue.

For this issue, the multi-platinum Roc Nation pop star was photographed by photographer Nick Knight and styled by the¬†publication’s Editor-in-Chief¬†Edward Enninful.

The Bajan beauty styles in Prada, Savage X Fenty, Alexander McQueen, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Gianvito Rossi, Loewe, Jonathan Aston and more.

“I always knew it had to be Rihanna,” writes Enninful of the September cover choice¬†in his editor letter (see it here). “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman,¬†when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her.”
