Sonia Rykiel Appoints Marc Jacobs’ Julien Soyez As Chief Marketing Officer

Sonia Rykiel Spring 2018 Ready-To-Wear.

PARISFrench fashion house Sonia Rykiel has appointed Julien Soyez as chief communication and marketing officer, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Soyez will work close with Sonia Rykiel‘s new creative director Julie de Libran and will be in charge of brand image, public relations strategy, digital activities, advertising and customer relationship management. Soyez joins the luxury house from Marc Jacobs, where he was in charge of communications for Europe and the Middle East.

Soyez has worked mostly in the communications domain, working for luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), where he started out at Fendi in 2001, before moving onto several other press relations roles in the group.

In 2009, Soyex became head of press relations for Louis Vuitton, and then director of men’s and women’s press. In 2015, Soyez moved to Marc Jacobs.
