Cordell Broadus, the son of veteran west coast rapper Snoop Dogg is creating for the new generation of cool kids. He’s making major moves in the modeling industry. The UCLA student (who left the university’s football team to pursue entertainment interests) is taking taking New York Fashion Week (NYFW) by storm.

I’m just using fashion as a vehicle to open up more doors and opportunities for my entrepreneurialism further down the line,” the talented e 20-year-old told The Post backstage at the Philipp Plein show.

Broadus has bigger dreams outside of fashion: “I want to executive-produce and star in my own movies. I’m going to use modeling as a branding platform so people can see my face and see my brain,” continued Broadus, who also walked at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 Menswear Show this past June (see it here). “I want to make movies like Marvel, and I want to tell stories. I want to do a story on my grandfather and his life because he’s a Vietnam vet. He’s got tremendous stories and life experiences.”

The former athlete admitted it was difficult to quit football, he played the game since he was 6. “The hard part was telling my family,” said Broadus. “At the end of the day, you want to make your family happy, but more importantly I came to find out you should put yourself first and your happiness is the No. 1 priority,” explained the former football wide receiver, who never took the field for the Bruins. “Ever since I made my decision, I’ve been tremendously happy and my family has supported me the whole way. It was pretty hard for my dad, but he adjusted to it and he accepted me for who I am.”

During the Plein show, Broadus bared his chest on the catwalk in a black leather jacket worn open over distressed denim jeans. “It’s hard. I look like a rock star! I love it!” he said.

Aside from walking the runway for Philipp Plein, Broadus also attended the Desigual Spring/Summer 2018 showHarpers Bazaar Icons Party, and the Public School Spring 2018 Ready-To-Wear show.

In July 2016, DM Fashion Book reported that the 6’3″ California -native signed with Wilhelmina Models, one of the biggest modeling and talent agencies in the world (see it here).
