NFL player Karlos Montez Dansby of the Cincinnati Bengals is expanding his brand off the field and into skin care.

Aspiring to bring hassle-free routines to men and mitigate the damaging effects of daily life on a man’s appearance, the football linebacker along with his longtime childhood friend, business partner, and college football buddy, Christopher Renault Butler, collaborated to create Montez Renault, an elite and high-end line of grooming products.

Montez Renault is an award winning grooming collection of hair, body and skincare products crafted from the highest quality, organic, and all-natural ingredients and based in sound science. Montez Renault set out to elevate men’s grooming essentials crafted from a scientific, health-centered approach.

Clinically proven and consumer celebrated, each formula contains carefully chosen ingredients endorsed by dermatologists, avoiding parabens, sulfates, and other various unpleasant compromises. Their philosophy is simple yet refreshing: For the well-groomed man, anything is possible. Men who look good and feel good can be empowered to do good.

Praised by celebs such as Neil Patrick Harris, Ethan Hawke, and NBA all-star Kevin Durant, the fast-growing brand of Montez Renault lives up to its motto, “For the well-groomed life. Men who look good and feel good can be inspired to do good.” Their signature product, the 3-in-1 performance wash, was awarded “BEST BODY WASH” by Men’s Health Magazine and is the ultimate must-have for the well-groomed gent. Perfect for guys on the go, this nourishing product combines organic jojoba oil and a special blend of green tea and aloe vera extracts to produce a rich foam that cleanses away excess oil, dirt and debris–leaving hair and skin feeling clean and fresh.

Dansby and Butler took their skills from the football field to the beauty bar. The men’s grooming-club entrepreneurs had previously started a successful spa experience with Butler’s Grooming Club in Birmingham, Alabama– a place where men could get all their grooming needs met within the ultimate man-cave. Offering services such as facials, massages, waxes, haircuts, shaves, and “male versions” of the mani-pedi, they then re-located to a Saks Fifth Avenue location in 2012, helping them triple their revenue to nearly $600,000.

The collection, dubbed Montez Renault (a homage to Dansby‘s and Butler‘s middle names), would ultimately serve a greater purpose than helping men groom- it would be about inspiring men to do good and feel good, to acquire that higher level of confidence that comes from taking care of your appearance.

The brand was recently purchased to be the official body wash of the Cleveland Browns (installed in all of their home and visiting team showers) has projected more than $1 million annual revenue in 2016.

Designed to inspire men to live a #wellgroomedlife, their sleek nine-piece collection of high-end skin, body, and hair care products are crafted from the highest quality pharmaceutical grade ingredients that work more efficiently and quickly than others on the market. All organic and paraben-free, they are created to address common concerns unique to men, such as irritated, bumpy, and blotchy skin, often caused from frequent shaving or sports, that usually aren’t resolved with run-of-the-mill grooming products.

Montez Renault products range from $17.00 – $63.00 USD and are available online at and in Belk, Lord & Taylor, and Nordstrom locations nationwide.
