America’s Next Top Model Cycle 23 Premieres December 12th; Rita Ora Serves As Host
Last year, news broke that America’s Next Top Model was cancelled. A few weeks later, it was announced that VH1 decided to pick up the show.
VH1 officially confirmed that they are bringing back the show, but without Tyra Banks (see it here). The fashion and media mogul will however stay on as executive producer. Ken Mok, also executive producer for the series’ full run, will continue in the same role for the new season as well.
Over this past summer, we officially confirmed that Rita Ora will replace Banks as the show’s host (see it here). Model Ashley Graham, Paper magazine‘s creative director Drew Elliott, and stylist Law Roach will join Ora on the show as judges.
Cycle 23 of America’s Next Top Model will premiere on Monday, December 12th at 10 ET/PT on VH1.
Former host and the show’s creator and executive producer Tyra Banks pops up to let the girls know, “I’m not looking for a traditional model. And I’m not looking for a social media model. I’m looking for both.”
Other special guests this season will include Chanel Iman, Zendaya, DJ Khaled, Jason Derulo, Tinashe, French Montana and Amber Rose.
The 14 contestants include: Binta Dibba (Seattle, WA), Cherish Waters (Los Angeles, CA), Cody Wells (San Jose, CA), CoryAnne Roberts (Bali, Indonesia), Courtney Nelson (San Francisco, CA), Giah Hardeman (Bryan-College Station, TX), India Gants (Seattle, WA), Justine Biticon (Los Angeles, CA), Krislian Rodriguez (Los Angeles, CA), Kyle McCoy (Darien, CT), Marissa Hopkins (Houston, TX), Paige Mobley (Birmingham, MI), Tash Wells (San Jose, CA), and Tatiana Price (Brooklyn, NY).
The winner of America’s Next Top Model will receive $100,000, a commercial feature on behalf of Rimmel London, and a fashion spread in Paper Magazine, along with an exclusive one-year talent deal with VH1.
After watching the super trailer, I think that the new season is gonna be lit, and filled with a lot of fashion, style, drama and competitiveness.
