Actress and fashionista turned entrepreneuress Lala Anthony is featured in the latest issue of Coveteur.

Weston Wells lensed the shoot. Styling was courtesy of Liana Weston, Maeve Reilly, and Meagan Wilson, with hair by Netty Jordan and makeup by Porsche Cooper.

Aside from showing some of the luxury items in her closet, Lala talks about her style, love for shoes, the current state of fashion, dressing for the red carpet, her love for leather coats and much more. Below are some excerpts, head over to Coveteur to read the full feature and to see more pics.

Lala describes her style:

“If I had to describe my style, I’d say whatever I’m feeling that day. Naturally, I’m more on the tomboy side, so I try to bring some edginess to my clothes—whether it’s through a leather jacket, or a pair of boots that I love.”

Lala’s love for shoes:

“I was always into shoes, that’s always been my thing, even during the TRLdays. Whether it’s heels or boots, or sneakers, because we would always go outside a lot.”

Lala on the current state of fashion:

“I think now, fashion has become, like, ‘whatever.’ Anything’s accepted as long as you have the swag and the confidence. You can throw prints, mix everything together. Back in the day, I don’t think that was the case.”

“I love how fashion now is taking it back to the tomboy days, where you’re wearing thigh-high boots, but with oversized hoodies. It allows me to go back and embrace my inner tomboy.”

Lala on dressing for an red carpet event:

“I’ve learned to follow my gut with red carpets. If I don’t like how it looks at home, I won’t wear it; I’ll change and put something else on. I’ve learned to just trust my gut when it comes to that stuff.”

Lala on her love for leather coats:

“I love leather coats. It’s the easiest outfit; you can wear them with jeans, any t-shirt, and you have the sickest outfit. I have so many different kinds, lengths, and varieties. And bombers: green ones, army fatigue ones, you just throw them over whatever and go.”
