NYFW: McQ Alexander McQueen Spring 2017 Ready-To-Wear
1980s performer and writer, Lydia Lunch was the source of inspiration for McQ Alexander McQueen‘s Spring 2017 collection.  Lunch’s look and personality could be described as “dark,” “hard,” and “unapologetic”. The British luxury fashion house’s creative director, Sarah Burton (she oversees McQ in addition to the mainline Alexander McQueen) and her team also looked to the fetishistic imagery of the photographer Irina Ionesco for inspiration.
The collection consists of studded punkish platform sandals, mannishly proportioned jean jackets with contrasting pockets, kilt trousers, leather bondage straps, a white denim panel skirt framed by matching white lace, and cobweb knit sweaters and more.
