It is exclusively being reported that Paul Andrew could be named as Salvatore Ferragamoâs first-ever creative director of shoes.
Andrew already designs a namesake men’s and women’s label sold at high-end retailer Bergdorf Goodman, and he also does consulting on shoe designs for firms such as Theory and Via Spiga. He launched his namesake brand in 2012.
In the past, Andrew worked at Donna Karen for nearly a decade, rising to the role of vice president, design, shoes and accessories. He also held design roles at Narciso Rodriguez and Calvin Klein.
Earlier this month, chief executive offer Michele Norsa left the label, replaced by Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto. Ferragamo creative director Massimiliano Giornetti also departed the label in March, after 16 years with the brand. Ferragamo has yet to name a successor, and said it is focusing on strengthening its in-house design team.
