Los Angeles-based brand Lucky Brand has signed a licensing agreement with Camuto Group. Lucky Brand will be re-launching its line of hangbags with Camuto Group for next spring.

The two brands have been long-standing partners, and Camuto Group will now take over the manufacturing and distribution of Lucky Brand‘s new line of handbags.

According to WWD, Lucky ended its four-year partnership with Showroom35, and the New York-based company will produce its final collection for Lucky before its contract ends in December.

For almost 10 years, Camuto Group has produced the footwear for Lucky Brand.

Carlos and his team have done a great job of developing a strong vision for the future,” said Camuto Group CEO Alex Del Cielo. “And we are looking forward to continuing to grow the footwear business and support the handbag category expansion.”

Camuto Group will help Lucky Brand to produce a collection of handbags that will reflect the brand’s aesthetic and price points (bags currently range from $68 to $200).

Most of the handbags will be mid-range in price, although some pieces will retail above $298 for select accounts, according to WWD. The collection will feature new styles designed with textiles and quality leathers — pieces that will take the wearer from “day to night and through the weekend.”

Lucky Brand CEO Carlos Alberini spoke about his long-standing partnership with Camuto Group, saying, “After nearly a decade of working together we strongly believe their collaborative spirit, amazing skills, and great distribution will seamlessly extend into this very important category for our brand. Alex Del Cielo and his leadership team understand and live by the same principles and core values we embrace here at Lucky Brand.”

The new will make its debut for spring 2017.
