Kid Cudi Will Have A Recurring Role On ‘Empire’
Rapper turned designer and actor Scott Mescudi also known as Kid Cudi is working on other projects outside of music. But first, he is set to release his new album, Passion, Pain, and Demon Slayin‘ this summer. Come fall, Cudi could be seen on Lee Daniel and Fox‘s, Empire.
The stylish music artist is joining the show. According to Entertainment Weekly, “Mescudi will recur as another rapper named Gram, an independent musician who is a rival to Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) both in the studio and in life. That competition extends to romance: Gram is dating Hakeem’s ex, Tiana (Serayah McNeill).”
Other stars already lined up for the third season of Empire include Taye Diggs, Birdman and French Montana.
Cudi is no stranger to acting. He starred in Entourage, the indie crime flick Vincent N Roxxy alongside Emile Hirsch and Zoë Kravitz. He also played a grease monkey in Need For Speed and a gay best friend in James White.
