Pitti Uomo Show Review: Gosha Rubchinskiy’s Spring/Summer 2017 Collection In Florence
Gosha Rubchinskiy, one of Pitti Uomo‘s guests menswear designers held his spring/summer 2017 collection in Florence in a tobacco factory. The building was in a very poor condition. The show staged in a courtyard bordered by stained concrete and smashed windows. It also provided the backdrop for a short film by Renata LitvinovaâRubchinskiy and Lotta Volkova (Rubchinskiy‘s stylist) also featured. The film was dedicated âTo Pier Paolo.â
The Moscow born, based his collection on branded sportswear which looked like it was inspired of the 80s Russian Olympic gear and early 90s Hip-Hop wear in the United States.
Pier Paolo Pasolini was a key inspiration for Rubchinskiy.
Rubchinskiy‘s spring/summer 2017 collection consists of suits, logo tees, sweatshirts, trousers, denim jeans, corduroy jackets, peacoats, hoodies, sweats, button-ups, tanks, shorts, tracksuits, biker outfits, and long sleeve polos. Metallic, stripes, checker patterns and corduroy were heavily used in the collection.
