
Emmanuel Gintzburger Is The New CEO Of Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen Fall 2016 Ready-To-Ready.
British fashion house Alexander McQueen has appointed Emmanuel Gintzburger as it new CEO; replacing Jonathan Akeroyd.
Akeroyd, who spent 12 years as CEO of the Kering-owned brand, is departing to âpursue other interests outside of the group,â according to a statement.
Gintzburger, who comes from Yves Saint Laurent will fill the role beginning on May 9th and report to Grita Loebsack (Keringâs Chief Executive Officer of its luxury couture and leather goods emerging brands, which include Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen). Gintzburger previously served as Worldwide Retail and Wholesale Director at Yves Saint Laurent, and he has also spent 17 years in the luxury and cosmetics industries.
As CEO of Alexander McQueen, his mission will be to pursue the brand’s global expansion and accelerate its organic growth.
Prior to joining Yves Saint Laurent, Gintzburger, 42, held roles at Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Sephora and Danone. At McQueen, his focus will be accelerating the brandâs global expansion.
