Beauty News: Kelly Rowland & Her Makeup Artist Sheika Daley Are Launching A Makeup Line For ‘Women Of Color’
Kelly Rowland is prepping her new docu-series, Chasing Destiny, which premieres on BET next month. She’s also in the studio working on her new album and gearing up to release a makeup line.
In a recent interview with Essence.com, the BET and Grammy Award winning singer turned fashionista revealed that she’ll be launching a makeup line with her makeup artist Sheika Daley, created specifically for women of color.
Rowland told Essence, “My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we’re making sure we make, well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women. But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!“
There’s no word on a launch date for the makeup line launch — but stay tuned to donbleek.com for all updates.
With spring being allergy season, Rowland will serve as spokesperson for Claritin for the second year in a row. She’s also working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
