Beauty News: Jessica Alba’s Honest Company To Release Hair Products In The Fall
Last fall, donbleek.com reported that American television/film actress and model turned entrepreneuress Jessica Alba is running a billion dollar empire. Her Honest Company was reportedly value at about $1.7 billion when we broke the story here.
We added that Alba was expanding the Honest Company (a company of non-toxic baby and homecare products). She launched a new beauty line, Honest Beauty. The range contains 17 skin care products — cleansers, a facial mist, moisturizers, wipes, etc. — and a whopping 66 makeup products, including foundations.
In the Honest Company‘s latest endeavors, the company will soon release a line of hair products – for grown-ups, of course. Alba told Allure, “I think people know we’re coming out with hair care.” She went on to list “sea-salt spray,” “conditioning milk,” “hair oil,” and “root lift” as the products she’s been experimenting with and loving from the line.
As for her instructions, “I do the sea-salt spray at the root, and I use conditioning milk at the ends. Then I scrunch. Right before it’s completely dry, I’ll mist with the oil. It’s awesome. We have a hair oil that’s like a mist,” she said. She recently put them all to the test at the Dior show at Paris fashion week and for the Vanity Fair Oscar party. “The hairdresser used our root lift and all the other products, and it held the whole time. They really work, they really hold, and they smell amazing.”
Alba didn’t reveal any additional info at the current moment. However, we’ve heard that the line will launch in October.
