Nick Woosterâs ‘The White Briefs Nick Wooster For Woolmark’ Launches At Opening Ceremony
Style icon Nick Wooster continues to expand his forever growing resume. In the past, Wooster worked with Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus chain stores, as well as Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren and Thom Browne brands.
This time around, the fashionisto releases his newest collection, The White Briefs Nick Wooster for Woolmark.
The collection is a collaboration between the style arbiter (Wooster) and Swedish leisurewear brand (The White Briefs).
The collection which was curated by Wooster comprises knitted coats, gym shorts, sleek briefs and breezy robes. A rich palette of dark grey, black, deep navy and a modest touch of olive reinforce the quiet strength of the garments and the use of 100% Australian Merino wool brings a natural and renewable element to the premium collection, which blurs the line between indoors and outdoors.
“Merino wool is not a fiber you readily expect for undergarments,” explains Wooster. “Yet besides being 100% natural, Merino wool is also incredibly soft, breathable and lightweight. I’m thrilled to have Opening Ceremony launch The White Briefs Nick Wooster for Woolmark collection and feel that the market is ready to embrace a collection of this caliber.”
New York‘s boutique Opening Ceremony unveiled the collection with a special installation, with Wooster making an in-store appearance earlier this week. Opening Ceremony‘s e-commerce site and Los Angeles store will also stock The White Briefs Nick Wooster for Woolmark collection.
Modest and understated, the premium collection is based on the notion of turning the inside out. The sensual nature of the collection is intensified by the use of the world’s softest woolen fiber, superfine Merino wool, combined with woolen fleece, and mesh wools paired with lavish single jersey and French terry.
Customers are now able to purchase 14 items from The White Briefs Nick Wooster for Woolmark collection, including shirts, trunks, sweaters, pants and robes.
“Having Opening Ceremony officially unveil our Merino wool product really sums up the spirit of the collection, with Opening Ceremony‘s savvy, urban customer resonating well with Nick Wooster,” says The White Briefs founder/designer Peter Simonsson.
“The White Briefs has a strong passion for natural fibers, and so Australian Merino wool was the natural choice for this collection. The fiber’s innate luxury and versatility allows the collection to really sing and we believe pushing leisurewear into a league of its own, offering a premium collection for the modern man.”
The White Briefs Nick Wooster for Woolmark collection is now available at some of the world’s hippest retailers, including: Storm, Copenhagen; Colette, Paris; Mohawk General Store, LA; Bungalow Store, Stuttgart; and United Arrows, Tokyo, as well as online via The White Briefs.
