Busy months to come for Monica! She kicks off her new tour in November, has an album coming out in December, and she’s been in Miami shooting a video for her latest single “Just Right For Me” featuring Lil Wayne.

I can’t believe that the Atlanta-songstress have been in the music industry for 22 years. The iconic Soul/R&B singer musical journey started in the projects in College Park, GA., when she began performing with a local gospel choir. While competing in many talent shows throughout Georgia, Monica was discovered by award winning hitmaker Dallas Austin, signed to Arista Records‘ distributed Rowdy Records.

By the young age of 13, Monica became the youngest artist ever to score two back-to-back Billboard #1 chart-topping hit records with “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One Of Dem Days)” and “Before You Walk Out Of My Life“.  Her debut album, Miss Thang took the world by storm.

Throughout her career which started in the early 90s, Monica has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and she holds the record as the first artist to top the U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart with No.1 songs over the span of three consecutive decades (1990s, 2000s and 2010s), which puts her in the elite company of history-making superstars such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, James Brown and Marvin Gaye, all sharing similar accomplishments.

Monica is now putting her focus back to music. She’s gearing up for her ‘The Code Red Experience‘ tour. The 22-date trek kicks off in Las Vegas and travels across the country hitting major cities including Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Raleigh, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Baltimore before wrapping up in NYC on December 13. On the tour, Monica will be joined by special guest, singer/songwriter Rico Love.
