
Milan Fashion Week: Prada Spring 2016 RTW
During Milan Fashion Week, Prada presented its Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. Miuccia Prada’s was not present because the passing of her aunt, but her aesthetic was fully present in the collection.
The skirt suits and coats featured a graphic theme of vertical stripes, accompanied by quirky accessories, and signature embellishments. The models walked the runway in low-heeled shoes, which featured its own configuration of pointless, ankle-strapping, metallic leather and patent and suede. The suits came in collages of checks, tweeds, and stripes, leather and suede, and transparent prints.
According to Vogue Runway, “The show ended with a siren call to Pradaâs wealthiest constituencies: coats in metallic snakeskin and suede stripes, and beautifully desirable organza suits and coats decorated with outsize transparent pailletted flowers.”
