Yesterday Monday (September 14), it was an Empire takeover at Jeremy Scott‘s Spring 2016 show. Bryshere Y. Gray also known as Hakeem Lyon and Serayah McNeill also known as Tiana Brown on Lee Daniels and Fox‘s blockbuster series sat front row alongside pop star Rita Ora.

Bryshere layered a Moschino jacket over an extended black tee-shirt with denim jeans. He completed his outfit by wearing a pair of $940 Maison Margiela Future Iridescent High Top Sneakers, which he also wore here. Serayah styled in a Moschino ensemble accessorized with a red bra and sandals.

It’s an ‘Empire’ takeover,” said Serayah to WWD.  “Since the fame and success has been blowing up from the show, I got to go to Ariana Grande’s show, and I met [Jeremy Scott] backstage,” Bryshere said. “My manager thought this would be a great opportunity for me to learn about fashion.”

It’s their first time at New York Fashion Week. “I knew it was going to be glitz and glam and I knew it was going to be intense,” Serayah said. “I mean, this is where it all goes down. I was thrown into it, but I’m ready.” “He does combos of things that people wouldn’t normally put together, and that’s why I love him,” Serayah said when speaking about Jeremy Scott.  “He takes risks and that’s what it’s about.”

I didn’t really have confidence to wear the things that I’m wearing now [before],” admitted Bryshere. “But, I got that pep talk with Naomi [Campbell]. I get a lot of advice from Naomi when it comes to fashion.”

Empire Season 2 premieres September 23rd.
