Teen Vogue Put Three Black Models On Its August 2015 Issue1

Aya Jones, Lineisy Montero and Imaan Hammam are fashion’s new faces. The models are covering the August 2015 issue of Teen Vogue.

Honestly, I am a bit shocked! I didn’t expect to see this at all. The fashion industry notoriously favors white models.

Jones was scouted on the streets of Paris, where she grew up, and has walked in 47 runway shows since her debut for Prada’s spring 2015 show.

Montero was discovered at an amusement park in Santo Domingo. She made her own debut at Prada’s Fall 2015 show.

Hamman is half-Moroccan, half-Egyptian and was born in Amsterdam. She appeared on the foldout cover of Vogue‘s “Instagirls” September issue. She also appeared on the Victoria’s Secret runway and a Givenchy campaign.
