A look from Arthur Arbesser’s Fall 2015 collection.
In the latest fashion news, Arthur Arbesser is the new creative director of Iceberg, according to Style.com.
His first collection for the Italian house (Spring 2016), will debut at Milan Fashion Week in September.
Iceberg launched in the 70s as a knit sportswear brand and now consists childrenswear, home, fragrances and mineral water.
Arbesser recently departed Carven.
Below is what Style.com reports:
“Gilmar, Iceberg’s parent company, named Arbesser as the brand’s new creative director, effective immediately. His first show will be Spring 2016, where he’ll present a full collection for Iceberg at MFW, in addition to showing his namesake line there as well. While he is Austrian by birth and trained at Central Saint Martins, Arbesser adopted Milan as his home after working in Giorgio Armani’s studio for several years. He launched his eponymous label in 2013, which garnered plenty of critical praise, winning the Who Is On Next? award that year, and he landed a semifinalist spot in the LVMH Prize competition this year. His most recent Resort collection for his brand elevated Italian traditional crafts into sleek, androgynous designs.”
Of the appointment, Arbesser said, “Iceberg stands for color, graphics, quality, and irony, which are all characteristics I share as well. I’m honored to continue the beautiful 40-year-long story of this iconic Italian brand.”
