Meek Mill Releases “Check,” Is It A Breakout Hit To Get A Release Date For ‘DWMTM’ & Reach A Mainstream Level?
In my opinion, Meek Mill has always been a dope artist. I fought for him when I interned at XXL magazine; a couple months later, he was featured in the publication.
His debut offering, Dreams & Nightmares was a success. It debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 165,000 copies.
His sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money was pushed back, without an official release date at the time of posting. His last two singles, “B-Boy” and “Monster” have been good records, but he still needs that breakout hit record to get a release date for the album and reach a mainstream level.
Late last night, the Philly-native premiered a new Metro Boomin-produced single, titled “Check“.
