
Parsons School Of Design To Honor Marc Jacobs, LVMH
Next Monday (May 19), American fashion designer Marc Jacobs and LVMH MoĂ«t Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which owns Marc Jacobs International, will be honored by Parsons School of Design at its 67th annual Parsons Fashion Benefit for the company’s contributions to fashion design.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, “CondĂ© Nast artistic director and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour will present the designer with his award and Saks Fifth Avenue president Marc Metrick will do the honors for LVMH. Fittingly, MoĂ«t Hennessy USA will provide the Champagne, wine and spirits for guests at the River Pavilion at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. Vanessa Friedman will deliver the keynote address during this yearâs benefit.”
Jacobs, a two-time honoree who graduated from Parsons in 1984, and LVMH will be saluted for their contributions to fashion design.
Past honorees includes Jason Wu and Hugo Boss (2014), Proenza Schoulerâs Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez and Haudsonâs Bay (2013), Donna Karan (2012) and Reed Krakoff (2011).
