Former Spice Girl signer turned English businesswoman and fashion designer Victoria Beckham has received another accolade. Beckham has been named fashion’s Most Inspirational Women of the Decade by Grazia (UK fashion and celebrity magazine), beating out Kate Moss, Stella McCartney and Mary Portas.

The publication’s EIC Jane Burton said, “Ten years ago, we knew Victoria as a Spice Girl and one half of an A-list power couple“. He then added, “She made no secret of her love for fashion but was known for wearing, not creating it.”

Victoria Beckham was once a pop singer and she succeeded in the fashion industry because fashion is now her one and only job. She gave up on her music career to pursue her fashion line. But it wasn’t that easy for her.

In 2006, Beckham launched her own denim label, DVB Style, but it wasn’t until the launch of her eponymous fashion label in September 2008 that Beckham‘s fashion career really took off. Her line is now a fixture of both New York and London Fashion Week.

In the past, Beckham served as spokesperson for luxury labels Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli. Her first foray into fashion happened in 2004, when she designed a denim line called VB Rocks for Rock & Republic.

In 2014, Beckham‘s label won Best Brand at the British Fashion Awards.
