The New York Times decided to hop on the train that’s occupied by fashion writers.

The renowned publication announced that it is launching a men’s style section, which will make its debut on Friday, April 3. It is being reported that it will take the form of a 12 to 14-page print section running the first Friday of each month. The plan is to have Styles editor Stuart Emmrich oversee the whole thing, hire a dedicated men’s fashion editor and make use of the paper’s current stable of fashion writers including Guy Trebay, Matthew Schneier and John Koblin to build it out.

I think this will be a great idea and way to increase Times‘ readership since over half of their readers are men. I wonder if the publication will post original stories outside of the month-long cycle?
