
This Is History: Naomi Campbell & Jourdan Dunn For Burberry Spring 2015 Ad Campaign
Iconic fashion model Naomi Campbell and newcomer Jourdan Dunn made history by becoming the faces of Burberry’s Spring 2014 Ad Campaign. This is the first time that the British luxury house has exclusively used black models for their campaign.
In the Mario Testino lensed campaign, Campbell 44 and Dunn 24, are seen posing in a range of the popular house’s colorful coats and dresses. They carried Burberry’s tote bags and also wore sunglasses from the brand. Christopher Bailey-directed the campaign’s visual which featured music by British musicians George Barnett and George Le Page.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Mario Testino; we came up in the business together 28 years ago, so have an understanding and ease in working together,” Naomi said in a statement.
“Naomi and Jourdan â two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative and chief executive officer, in a statement about their casting.
This is Campbell’s first time modeling for Burberry since her 2001 campaign alongside Kate Moss.
The British beauties full campaign will make its debut in the January 2015 issues of magazines. Â However, you can see some first look images once you flip the pages.
