Charli XCX Is Nylon’s December/January Cover Star
A couple of years ago, I was first introduced to pop star Charli XCX, but it was this year’s “Fancy” (Iggy Azalea’s song featuring Charli XCX) that captivated her to the next level. Now, the British singer is re-introducing her music to American markets.
The 22-year-old is Nylon magazine‘s December/January cover star. For the shoot which was lensed by Zoey Grossman, Charli rocks her eccentric style in a metallic biker jacket, black dress and leopard print dress. Styling was courtesy of Daniela Jung.
Inside, she talks about feminism, confidence, her fans and the time we live in.
On feminism:
“I admire women like Beyoncé for putting themselves on the line and having visuals that say ‘feminism.'”
On confidence:
“I feel very comfortable in my own skin. I’ve never stripped as a stripper, but when I was younger and playing at raves, I would take off some of my clothes — which was kind of weird because sometimes my parents would be there.”
