The Shakeup: Glamour Cuts Four Editors
In the fourth quarter things are still shaking up at CondĂ© Nast, especially at Glamour magazine. Last week, I reported that Danica Lo is back at Glamour and sheâs the publicationâs first âOnline Editor-At-Largeâ. You can see the original post here.
It is now being reported that four editors, including its executive editor were let go at Glamour.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, “The layoffs come in advance of the magazineâs move to CondĂ© Nastâs new headquarters at One World Trade Center. The publication is slated to move a week after Thanksgiving, on Dec. 8. At the company, it has been commonplace for magazines prepping for their move to endure layoffs. Insiders said that Lauren Brody, who held the role of executive editor for four years but began at Glamour in 2002, as well as Julie Stone, the magazineâs deputy editor of photo visuals of 14 years, were both dismissed, in addition to two other mid-level editors.”
