If you’re based in NYC then you definitely know that Soho is a hangout spot for rising talents and a place to discover models. Luka Sabbat is a popular Soho kid! He’s also well-known on social media.

In his latest fashion editorial for Vogue, the teenage model recreates Jimi Hendrix’s incomparable style. For the editorial, the 16-year-old was captured in Tompkins Square Park by photographer Alessio Boni.

Below is a highlight courtesy of Vogue:

An iconic look is in a way a contradiction: It can never be replicated, yet when you see it represented in homage, you instantly know it. Jimi Hendrix’s style is not only recognizable, it remains inspiring decades later. After all, who else could pull off a head scarf, felt sergeant jacket, and enough florals to fill a field in Woodstock, all at once? And it still looks completely original. Here, we asked model and Instagram style wunderkind Luka Sabbat—a big fan of Jimi’s look—to channel Hendrix on the street, right in time for John Ridley’s new biopic Jimi: All is By My Side, (out in theaters now).”

“Hendrix just made a style,” Sabbat says. “He was so complex.”
