ABC‘s Scandal season four will return on September 25. The Shonda Rhimes created show is an American political thriller television series starring Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope.

Washington‘s role as Pope, is partially based on former George H.W. Bush administration press aide Judy Smith, who serves as a co-executive producer. The series takes place in the nation’s capital (Washington D.C.) and focuses on Pope‘s crisis management firm, Olivia Pope & Associates, and its staff, as well as staff at the White House.

As Scandal‘s Olivia Pope, Washington has the distinction of being the first African-American actress to play a lead in a prime-time drama since the 1960’s.

The Bronx-native attended George Washington University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a double major in anthropology and sociology.

A lot of of people in fashion are a fan of Pope‘s look on the drama series. Last season, upscale department store, Saks 5th Avenue celebrated the new season with displays inspired by the series. This season, some folks over at Scandal joined forces with The Limited for a brand new collection.

The full 78-piece collection was inspired by the wardrobe of Kerry Washington‘s character Olivia Pope. Kerry Washington and Scandal‘s costume designer Lyn Paolo took part in the design aspect of the project with Elliot Staples, head of design for The Limited.

The collection includes signature coats that are recreations of some of the styles Washington wore on the show, in soft tones.

“By creating a line inspired by the show, we are introducing that embodies the elegance and power of the Scandal aesthetic, for real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas,” said Washington. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing.”

Prices range from $49 to $250. Expect the collection to arrive in stores on September 23.
