Coming To London’s Burlington Arcade: Chanel
French fashion house Chanel is coming to London‘s Burlington Arcade. The covered parade of shops runs between Piccadilly and Bond Street.
The location will soon become home to a string of Chanel-owned labels.
Thor Equities along with European property group Meyer Bergman bought the 19th-century arcade in 2010, said that Chanel had signed a long-term lease for stores at Burlington Arcade.
The upscale group is expected to open five stores in the arcade – Chanel accessories boutique, swim and lingerie label Eres, watchmakers Bell & Ross, milliner Maison Michel and the knit label Barrie, which are all owned by Chanel.
The boutiques are expected to open before the holiday season.
Thor Equities Executive Vice President, Melissa Gliatta said she believes the new labels are âa wonderful addition to the arcade. No matter who you areâŠwhen you walk through the arcade thereâs something for you, and I think thatâs important to us to make sure we have a nice mix. Our goal is to provide the highest quality tenants.â
