Things are shaking up in the print industry! Pop and fashion magazine, Nylon has hired Michelle Lee as the new editor-in-chief.

The publication has been through the storm lately: First, Nylon was sold off to a new owner, resulting in co-founder Marvin Jarrrett‘s ousting from his role as EIC and replacement by Joe Mohen. After that, Jarrett threatened to sue and Mohen quit, as well as some major staffers.

Lee comes to Nylon from Magnified Media, a brand publishing agency where she was the chief content and stratgery officer. In the past, she was the founding editor of US Weekly, The Daily Front Row and CosmoGIRL. She also served as the editor-in-chief at In Touch Weekly and senior vice president of content at Hollywood.com.

“As an obsessive fashion and culture lover — and former NYLON writer — I’m thrilled to be joining the NYLON team,” said Lee. “To me, the brand has always stood for the cool merger of style and entertainment, so I’m excited to see the evolution and growth of such an already-amazing brand.”

Will the hire of Lee help restore the publication and once major brand?
