Lupita Nyong’o Covers Vogue’s July 2014 Issue

Earlier in the year, I reported that Oscar Award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o sat front row with Vogue’s Anna Wintour and actress Naomi Watts at the Calvin Klein’s Fall 2014 Runway Show at the Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. See the original post here!

I guess sitting next to the most important woman in fashion print definitely paid off. The 12 Years A Slave actress is covering the July 2014 issues of Vogue magazine.

The fashion darling’s photoshoot was done a couple of months ago in Marrakech, shot by Mikael Jansson. The Kenyan beauty is definitely having a great year. Aside from winning an Oscar Award, she signed major contracts to be the face of Miu Miu and Lancome. She has also been added to the upcoming movie, Star Wars.

Nyong’o joins Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Halle Berry and Rihanna as the only Black women to cover Vogue since 1989.
