I’ve been a fan of Juelz Santana‘s since a young teenager. Where I come from, we idolized him and he was cool. His albums took me all through school. I don’t care what anyone says, Juelz is supposed to be on the throne sitting next to Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.

However, things don’t always go as planned. I am officially confirming that the Harlem-native and Dipset rapper has been dropped from Def Jam Recordings which is housed under Universal Music Group.

Juelz Santana hasn’t released an album since his 2005 LP, What’s The Game’s Been Missing! which sold over 698,000 copies. I cannot confirm why Juelz hasn’t released an album in nine years, but I can confirm that I spoke to an reliable source over at UMG and the person said, “He jerked Def Jam around for years promising them am album“.

I don’t know where Juelz is currently as far as music but I wish him the best of success with his future endeavors. I am still a fan of his and will continue to support him. In the past, I’ve interviewed Juelz here in 2011.

Again, Juelz, I wish you the best and hope to see you soon at the Dyckman or backstage at an event in NYC.
