A Look At Dior’s Cruise 2015 Collection

Last night Wednesday (May 7), Dior‘s Cruise 2015 Collection arrived in Brooklyn, Raf Simons and the house of Dior was the captain of the ship. Noticeable celebs on the ship included Rihanna, Ruth Wilson, Allison Williams, Margot Robbin, Marion Cotillard, Leelee Sobieski and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The French fashion house also flew in 120 editors from around the world to watch the show.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, “The show played as a treatise on modernist French chic tinged with Belgian iconoclasm delivered with an American homage and designed for a global clientele“.

As far as the show’s inspiration, A return to the Big Apple: “I’m here for two years and the response from the American women is [strong]. New York has always been a city of energy and strength. I walk through the city and I see all these women and I think strength and energy and conviction,” said Simons.

The collection included, dresses, skirt, jackets, wide-legged pants, suits, scarves, lavish embroideries, stripes mixed with florals, woven tweeds, raffias and much more.
