2014 Met Gala: Lupita Nyong’o In A Prada Dress

Last night Monday (May 5), the 2014 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala also known as the Met Gala took place in NYC. The upscale fashion event was held at Manhattan‘s Metropolitan Museum.

For the event, Oscar Award winning actress and fashion model Lupita Nyong’o stepped out in a Prada dress which featured feathers and beaded frock. Her dress was accessorized with a sparkly headband and a pompadour.

This year’s exhibit showcases the work of Anglo-American couturier Charles James, whose influence could be seen in many of the guests in attendance ensembles. James is most famous for his sculpted frocks made of luxe fabrics.
