Honest rapper Nayvadius Cash also known by his stage name, Future covers the latest issue of The Guardian‘s ‘Guide‘.

Inside, he talks to writer Lanre Bakare about where he gets his inspiration from, being able to reinvent himself, having his own image, showing his versatility, what makes a good hook, and more. Future‘s forthcoming LP, Honest arrives April 22nd.

Where he gets his inspiration from:

I’m always listening for melodies, it’s crazy. Like just then when I heard tapping on the keyboards, that’s got a rhythm to it: tch-tch-tch-tch-tch“.

Now the air-conditioner is going wwwwuuuurrrrrrrr,” he adds, pointing towards the ceiling. “Those things make me want to do something. That shit wicked: the air-conditioner.”
