What exactly is Mastersounds: Mastersounds started off as just a production duo/team with just myself and Jaffet. We started out composing music, making beats, playing instruments, writing songs and just developing our skills as young musicians. As we started progressing, we came up with the idea of making it a production company. So then myself and Jaffet sat down several times to figure out how we can build this company from the ground up at a young age. After several meetings, I came up with the idea to start building up different departments within the company. We started off with the graphic designing and now I am [Terrel…] working on building the photography, modeling and fashion part of Mastersounds.

Who inspires you guys musically:  J. Dilla, Pete Rock, Pharrell, Timbaland, Quincey Jones, Lauryn Hill , The Dream, Diddy, Jay-Z , Kanye West and more.

Any artists you would like to work with: Drake, Rihanna, Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, Alicia Keys, ASAP MOB, Chris Brown, Outkast, T.I., Justin Bieber, Meek Mill and more.

Describe your style: Our sound is not like anybody else’s. We have a unique style and we can produce music in every genre.

Musically, what are you working on: We are currently working on sharpening our skills as producers, engineers, musicians, composers, and songwriters. We are also building up our catalog and looking for artist that’s dedicated and committed to work with.

Any career highlights so far: Last summer we worked with and produced for Hakim Greene from Channel Live, met and talked to multiplatinum producer Antwan Amadeus Thompson, recorded in the State of the Art Studios; where Kid Cudi, Raekwon, Chance Tha Rapper and more artists have recorded at. We have also performed multiple times at Socrates Park and been inside of the Clive Davis Studio in Manhattan.

Five years from now, Mastersounds will be: We hope to be one of the top production companies out at that moment, have a couple Grammy Awards or nominations and keep on putting out great products.
