
From Unknown To “It” Girl In Less Than A Year: Lupita Nyong’o For ‘The Cut’ New York Magazine
Kenyan actress and Don Bleek’s favorite chic in Hollywood at the moment, Lupita Nyong’o is featured in the latest issue of ‘The Cut’ New York magazine. For the shoot, the 12 Years A Slave star posed in cute colorful dresses and accessories. She was shot by photographer Erik Madigan Heck. In less than a year, Nyong’o went from unknown to “It” girl. Inside, she talked about her upbringings, acting in school plays as a child, attended Yale School of Drama, meeting Ralph Fiennes, her first few months in America and much more. She already won ‘Best Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role‘ at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards and ‘Best Supporting Actress‘ at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Awards. On March 2, she may very well take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
