Show Review: Ami Alexandre Mattiussi Fall/Winter 2014 Menswear

Last week, during Paris Fashion Week, Alexandre Matiussi of Ami hosted his first-ever show at the Parisian de Tokyo. The stage at the venue was set as a wintry Parisian street scene, covered in faux snow and street lamps. Mattiussi inspiration for the show was inspired by the streets. “I don’t read so many books, I don’t watch so many movies,” he said. “I watch the street.”

Mattiussi took the collection back to the basics. The Fall/Winter 2014 menswear collection features wool topcoats in single- and double-breasted versions, leather bombers, plaid shirts, turtleneck sweaters and baggy, wide-leg pants in suiting wool.
