Nicki Minaj covers the August 2013 issue of Marie Claire. For this issue, the multi-platinum international diva was shot by famed photographer¬†Satoshi Saikusa. She gets glammed in a catsuit, various dresses and shoes by upscale designers including Just Cavalli, Bess,¬†Nicholas Kirkwood, and¬†LaQuan Smith.¬†Inside, Minaj gives advice and talks about what pisses her off the most during her interview. This wasn’t your average interview. The questions were taken directly from Minaj’s fans/followers on Twitter. This issue hits newsstands July 16th. Below are some highlights and photos:

On what she would like young women to get out of and learn from her music:

Don’t lose the fun side of you, the part of you that fantasized and had a great imagination, but don’t ever get complacent because there’s always someone gunning to take your spot. You’ve got to work like it’s your first day on the job every day. That’s what I do: Work hard, laugh later. I just don’t want people to think that you can get this any other way. You can’t get it with a pretty little smile. You have to put the work in, and that goes for anything you want to do.”

On what pisses her off the most:

People who don’t own up to their mistakes. They’ll make every excuse in the book, as opposed to just saying, ‚ÄėDamn, yeah, I f**ked up.‘”

On one day leaving music behind and making a transition into acting:

I at least want to do three more albums. If I can do that, I’ll feel complete. One day, when I start getting a couple gray hairs, maybe it will all be only acting.”
