We’re just a few days away from the release of A$AP Rocky’s debut solo album, Long.Live.A$AP which arrives next Tuesday (January 15). I heard that the album is really dope and has a lot of great productions on it. I like Rocky’s music, and I like his style even more. We all know by now that this Harlemite is sick and trendy when it comes to fashion. The New York Times recently interviewed this RCA recording artist and he discussed his style, favorite designers, where he like to shop at and much more. Below are some highlights:

WHAT I’M WEARING NOW: The shirt is Raf Simons. I love him. He’s probably the most influential designer I have ever followed. Not only that, but he listens to my music. He listened to my music before we met. The pants are Alexander Wang, given to me free 99. My shoes are a special kind of Timberland and have a weird texture. The whole idea is for them to be rugged, so I’m trying to wear them more often so they get beat up.

STYLE CREDO: Trill meets high-end fashion. I’m really going for Belgian designers right now. You know, Jil Sander, Raf Simons, Ann Demeulemeester. That’s my whole thing right there. And British designers like Christopher Shannon, KTZ and Mr. Hare.

FAVORITE STORES: Oak, Opening Ceremony, Barneys, Ina, Tokio 7, Y-3, BAPE, A.P.C., Acne.

ON DIAMONDS: I have a few diamonds, but its corny, like I’m the Man. The reason those rapper dudes have all of those diamonds is to compensate for having no fashion sense.

ON THOSE WHO HATE MY STYLE: It’s almost like school. I’m an honor-roll student, and they’re dropouts.

WHO ELSE IS COOL: Pharrell. Cudi. Skrillex. My boy Schoolboy Q is cool. Kendrick. Drake. I love everybody.
