An early projection is in and according to HitsDailyDouble, Nicki Minaj is projected to sell between 200-225k copies of her new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in the first week, which is good enough for her to take the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This information is based on one-day reports from online retailers. The disc has collaborations with Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Cam’ron, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross and others.

Was Nicki Minaj hit with the sophomore jinx? Her debuted album, Pink Friday debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 375,000 copies. A few weeks later, the album reached number one on the chart and as of today, the disc sold over 1.7 million copies worldwide. This time around Minaj is selling between 125-150k albums less in the first week than her debut. Do you think Minaj was hit with the sophomore jinx? Any thoughts on her new album?
