Superstar Status: Justin Bieber Covers Complex Magazine
International teenage sensation Justin Bieber is gracing the cover of the 10th Anniversary of Complex magazineâs decade in print issue. On the cover, JB appears to be bruised and bloodied. Inside the issue, he talks about his pop stardom, his new album Believe, single âBoyfriendâ which drops next week, love life, and much more. Below are some excerpts:
On his relationship:
âThereâs no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us. Itâs like, âYou take this car, and Iâll take this car, and then weâll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, Iâll go in this door. Weâll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. Weâll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. Iâll go through the back area. Then weâll meet in the dressing room and see each other.â At that point, itâs not even a relationship. Youâre just hiding from everyone. Thatâs unfair and unhealthy, man.â
On his rapping:
âI just rap for fun,â he says. âItâs nothing to take seriously. On my new album, Iâm going to do a little bit of rapping.â He proceeds to spit a set of bars from âBoyfriend,â a song recorded for Believe. âTell me what you like, dear/Tell me what you donât/I could be your Buzz Lightyear/Fly across the globe/You donât even need to fight, dear/You already know/I can make you shine bright/Like youâre laying in the snow/Burr.â
Complex’s 10th Anniversary Issue hits stands on April 3.
