Queens native Nicki Minaj is gracing the cover of the April 2012 issue Allure Magazine. In the cover story, the YMCMB platinum-selling femcee talks about her future plans, coming for Jay-Z’s spot, as well as why she appeals to audience as young as 8-year-old. Below are someĀ excerpts:

On her future plans for world domination:

I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of. So thatā€™s why Iā€™m only about to put out my second album and Iā€™m already thinking about this. I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoriaā€™s Secret fashion show. He said, ā€˜Congratulations on all your success.ā€™ And I was like, ā€˜Yeah, Iā€™m coming for you. Iā€™m coming forĀ your spot, Mr. Mogul.ā€™ ā€

On why she appeals to audience as young as 8 year olds

I think as far as the younger demo is concerned, I play dress-up. I also can put on a very cartoonish voice. So sometimes children may not know what Iā€™m saying, but they like the sound of it, and they think I sound like some weird character.ā€
