Last night Tuesday (December 27), Brooklyn’s rapper/music mogul Jay-Z and his childhood friend Emory Jones were spotted at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, to watch the New Jersey Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks game. I was there too! I was far from court side but I had an okay seat. I spotted Jay-Z but wasn’t able to get to him because we were sitting far apart. The final score was 106-70, in favor of the Hawks. If you guys are not familiar with Emory, he and Jay-Z are childhood friends. He was released from the Feds in 2010. This guy is a real street dude and he was the person who put up the money to start Roc-A-Fella. Back in 2010, Jay-Z sent over his personal Maybach to pick up Emory from the Feds. On Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come album he dedicated a song, entitled “Do You Wanna Ride” to Emory. Peep the picture below of Jay and Em in there youngest days.
