Another Plaque: Drake ‘Take Care’ Hits Platinum

Just a little after one month of being released, Drake’s¬†sophomore¬†album Take Care is now officially platinum. The disc¬†debuted at #1 on the¬†Billboard¬†200 chart, selling over 659,190 copies in the first week. Drizzy debut album¬†Thank Me Later¬†also debuted at #1 on the¬†Billboard¬†200 with the first week sales exceeding over 447,000 copies and over one-million worldwide. Take¬†Care¬†is the third-highest sales week of 2011, after¬†Lady Gaga‚Äôs¬†Born This Way¬†debut (1.1 million) and¬†Lil Wayne‚Äôs¬†Tha Carter IV¬†start (964,000).¬†Take Care¬†features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj,¬†Rihanna, Andr√© 3000, Rick Ross, and more.
