N.W.A¬†aka Niggaz Wit Attitudes¬†was one of the most¬†controversial¬†Hip-Hop groups from¬†Compton, California. They¬†repped¬†gangsta rap, rhymed about the grimy street life in Compton¬†and became famous for songs such as “Straight Outta Compton” and “F**k Tha Police,” which protested¬†police brutality¬†and¬†racial profiling. The¬†original¬†group consisted of¬†¬†Eazy-E, ¬†Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince¬†and MC Ren¬†. The group released their debut studio album, entitled¬†Straight Outta Compton, in 1988. The disc reached the US¬†Billboard¬†Top LPs¬†chart at number 37 in 1989 and sold over three-million copies worldwide. N.W.A.’s album¬†Niggaz4Life, which was released in 1991 was the group’s final album. The group split because of¬†financial¬†reasons. After Eazy-E’s¬†death on March 26, 1995, all bad blood between the group ceased.
